In June 2019 Murraywood Construction became a member of the North West Training Group, organised by Gill Steeleand Julie Lawrenson. This is a group of companies in the industry working together with regards to industry innovations and training. It allows Murraywood to share what we and other companies are doing in the business; participate in initiatives and innovations within the industry, enables affordable training enabling us to train more operatives and so be safer and promotes cohesion and a “working together attitude for the industries’ good” attitude.
We can also participate in trials of equipment / kit to make the workplace a safer place to be in. Being part of this group, even for such a short time, has already benefited the company with the provision of cost appropriate Asbestos Awareness training. The group though also has a strong social responsibility ethic, assisting in charitable schemes in the area and attending colleges, schools and career events to promote the industry as a career choice for those considering their futures.
