Overview

As part of a £4 million redevelopment to make the area a “calmer space”, Lincoln Square in Manchester underwent an overhaul to be a place people want to visit in its own right, instead of being tagged onto the town hall or a cut through to Spinningfields.

It’s hoped the redevelopment of the area will encourage restaurants and cafes to base themselves in the up and coming area.

What did we do?

On this project we removed the existing paving, tarmac and street furniture and did a bulk excavation to remove material for roads and pavements.

We also installed ducting for new street lights and gates, put in Aco drains and gullies for the new footpaths and roads and installed street furniture and new planter lines.

Additionally, we put in the foundations for gates, fence posts and bollards, tarmacked to the main entrance and footpaths and did the paving to pedestrian areas and main access roads.

And we installed the Mr Abraham Lincoln statue to really bring Lincoln Square to life.
