Overview

Greater Manchester Police wanted to relocate their headquarters to Central Park in the up and coming New East Manchester business park and they wanted to coincide this with modernising their office space and making it fit for purpose.

They also wanted to build a new Divisional Headquarters, fit with both office space and a custody suite, and we completed the full groundworks package on both of these projects.

What did we do?

We completed the full groundworks package on this massive project which included construction of reinforced concrete foundations and pile caps, basement construction and waterproofing and carrying out concrete beam infills on seven upper floors.

We also installed foul and surface water drainage systems, as well as rainwater harvesting tanks.

As well as all this we completed external works such as preparation works and asphalt surfacing for over 10,000m2 of car park and an external stairway coupled with a granite-laid pedestrianised area.
