Golf tournament raises money for important cause in Manchester

Murraywood Construction took part in a golf competition organised by Lendlease to raise money for charity.

Four members of our team had a change of scenery from the office yesterday and travelled across to Trentham Golf Course to participate in the charitable event.

Simon Ball, Rhian Garner, Ben Telfer and Chey Buskin represented Murraywood and came away from the event in top spot after beating the runners up by four points.

Lendlease, the multinational construction, property, investment and infrastructure company, organised the Stableford golf competition with the aim being to raise money for the Wood Street Mission in Manchester and we were more than happy to accept the invitation to raise vital funds for this important cause.

The non-profit organisation is a children’s charity who have helped families affected by poverty in Manchester and Salford for over 150 years but are needed now more than ever given the current cost of living crisis.

They accept clothes, uniform and much-needed items including books, toiletries, nappies, prams, car seats and baby gates to distribute to those that need it most.
