Overview
Student life in Manchester got a major facelift in 2017 when the former BBC Headquarters site was used to build a £750 million mixed use complex including state-of-the-art student accommodation.
This was part of the Vita Student Living Project’s development which included a block of 716 city centre student apartments, 1.2m2 ft of commercial office space, 100,000 square ft of retail and leisure space and a multi-storey car park.
Also included was 250,000 square ft of a beautifully designed public realm, and two hotels – a 150 bed hotel and a 150 bed boutique hotel.
What did we do?
For this massive project we installed ducting and drainage, as well as footpaths, a new riverwall installation, paving and a rain garden.
