Overview

To ensure Amazon Haydock can keep it’s operations running at full capacity and ensure customers receive the orders they place on time, improvements to the warehouse and its surrounding areas had to be made.

Modification and extensions to the service yard and goods entrances were carried out in order to do this.

What did we do?

On this project we carried out the groundworks to modify two existing good entrances to the existing warehouse and modified the drainage system.

We also excavated an existing landscaped bank to create a new widen “goods in” access and we removed existing concrete islands and various kerb lines.

An entrance was constructed by ourselves to a heavy duty access road and the service yard was widened and formed using reinforced concrete with a brush finish.

Additionally we completed new gate house foundations and we removed and relocated existing steel gates and bus stops.

We installed underground ductwork with street lighting and site signage and we formed a new entrance layout to the car park, creating a small roundabout.
